I did not personally know Judge Scott and yet she changed my life and the lives of my children through her work. I have tried to find her through the years to thank her, but was never able to locate her. I tried again this morning and saw her obituary. Judge Scott was the judge in my case almost 30 years ago. She had the legal mind and the courage to issue a decision against the government that helped not only me, but hundreds of employees who used her decision in their cases. I will never forget her beautiful smile and quiet demeanor as she sat through my case. I look back now and chuckle because I remember thinking, 'This lady is not going to have the fortitude to render an accurate decision in this case. This case is too ugly and she's too nice". Within 30 days Judge Scott issued a forty page decision citing the government with perjury, conspiracy, and discrimination. I remember before my hearing my attorney telling me that it was a government conspiracy, but no judge was going to make that ruling against the government. She was my angel here on earth. I regret that I was never able to tell Judge Scott how much she has meant to my life, but I take some comfort in this opportunity to tell her family. Rest in peace Judge Scott. My appreciation for your courage still brings tears to my eyes, even after all these years.

We are shocked, deeply saddened & our hearts are broken over the untimely passing of dear sister Audrey & will miss her always. At least I can remember the happy times we had here during the couple of years of her tenure as a judge with the Social Security Administration - Houstin office. While I missed her presence when she left to serve as a judge at the Tupelo, MS Social Security office, I did have an opportunity to visit her on two occasions there in Tupelo. So Rest in Peace, dear sweet sister Audrey. We will love you always.
