Conner Lee Alderton, 18, of Collierville, passed away June 4, 2011. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 11, and a Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3 p.m., all at Collierville Funeral Home, 534 West Poplar. Conner was born December 18, 1992 in San Diego, CA, and he moved with his family to Collierville in July 1998. He attended Crosswind Elementary, Schilling Farms Middle, and Collierville High School, graduating in December 2010. Conner was an artist and poet, enjoying long walks and nature. He loved music, especially playing his guitar, and he really enjoyed playing basketball with his friends. Conner had a special place in his heart for animals, especially his dogs, Caleb and Lucky; he also volunteered at the Fayette County Animal Rescue and the Collierville Animal Shelter. Conner was unique; an intelligent and unusually kind-hearted man, who was always willing to help others and never held a grudge. He is survived by his parents, David and Nyla Alderton; his brother, Austin Alderton; his grandparents, David Alderton, Sr., Marilyn Ringheim, and Henry Allen Baggott; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends, including his girlfriend, Jamie Donaldson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Loren Ringheim and Joyce Baggott. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Conner’s memory may be made to the Fayette County Animal Rescue at www.FayetteFCAR.com Collierville Funeral Home (901)853-2628 www.ColliervilleFuneral.com

Sponsored by Mom, Dad & Your Brother Austin. We love you forever Conner. We miss you in our lives every day!.
Thinking of you Nyla and Austin. My dad always says of our family members who have passed away, absent in the body, present in the spirit. It is a bible quote, but it is true. Remembering, talking about and sharing life stories of the time you had together with Conner keeps his spirit alive. He lives on in the hearts and minds of those who loved him and knew him. Peace and love to you both. Nancy Sheran

The universe is well organized, the reasons for things not always revealed. What there is, through choice, is love, prayer and grace. Nyla and Austin, carry with you the memories Conner and David created with you and others. Their lives made a difference on people who may never be revealed to you. We are all part of this well organized universe. We are thinking of your family and sending our love for you.

David, Nyla and Austin...I only knew the boys as babies. Even then you two boys had your own language. I went through the photos you provided and watched you grow up, as if filling in the blanks. I can only wish that someday you find peace and know that no matter what he loved you. Now your guardian angel; may God let him watch over you and keep you from harm. I love and miss you with all my heart.

Our son , John Wakefield, has just told us of the passing of Conner Lee. We are so very sad to hear this news. You visited us some time ago along with your Mom, Joyce, at our home in Chincoteague.
My thoughts are very much with you at this time of your great sadness.
I saw all the pictures of the boys growing up and the many good times you all had together. These memories are treasures to keep.

We were in Florida when we heard about Conner. What wonderful memories we have of the boys all playing together when they were young and all our years of baseball and basketball together. Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer.

To the Alderton family....I do not know you nor did I know Conner...but I just wanted to tell you that my heart literally aches for you all. As a mother, I can NOT imagine the pain in your hearts and the hole that this ordeal must leave in your soul. I do know, however, that relying on the Lord Jesus Christ, and Him only....will be the only way to live thru something this horrible. He is able to sustain you, give you strength and with time, give you peace and comfort in the midst of it all. I am praying for you all in the days to come...In Christ, Tammie Spellman (friend of Pam and Terry)
