My One in a Million, You
Thank you Papa Bear, for all you've done with & for me. Utmost appreciation for helping me with the kids; your support & direction become clearer with time...a true sign of great fathering. From my first memory (2 yrs old) when you let me help move to the new house by carring the milk, to my anniversary serenade (song: One In A Million), to what seems like yesterday...Great memories will forever keep you close to me...in my heart of hearts... I know you truly loved us, and at this difficult time, knowing that provides yet another comfort I hadn't imagined! I hope I did the same for you each time I responded to your "Love You" with..."I love you more..."
Forever your "Precious Girl"

Pops,
I remember many early mornings when we would sit outside in front of the house, greeting the neighbors & sipping on coffee as we enjoyed nature...the birds chirping, butterflies fluttering & the aspect we cherished the most - we enjoyed the silence. Pops was & still is more than a grandfather to me...he was my father!
Love you Pops,
Always & Forever,
Your son,
Asante

Pop
I remember when we used to go for walks in the middle of the night. You would come to my window and throw rocks to get my attention, & even though I knew I would get in trouble for leaving without permission, I'd sneak out anyway. I just couldn't say no to you anymore than you could say no to me pops.
I love you & miss you more than I can express,

Dear Pops
You showed me what it meant to be a man before I even knew what I was looking at. I can't thank you enough for all the provisions you made for us to live comfortably. You were a great role model & an excellent provider. You held your position with honor, always on military time & everything done to perfection. I respect & appreciate that more than you knew. I am honored to be your grandson. You will be greatly missed.
Love you Pops,
Djole

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. His Garden must be beautiful,he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain. And knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw your path was difficult, he closed you tired eyes.He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly. When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again. You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,You live on through your family, you're always by our side.It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you on the day God called you home.
