Charles John Rogge, Sr. passed away May 20, 2015 at the age of 96, of natural causes. Charlie was born on October 7, 1918 in Chicago, Ill to Charles Frederick and Bertha (Jiede), and is preceded in death by his sisters Lillian, Adeline and Verna, his wife Elaine, and infant son William. He is survived by sister Norma Wanner of Des Plaines, Ill, children Barbara Rogge, Charles Jr. (Michelle) and Lynn Perry (Glen), all of Livermore, and grandchildren Allison Perry, Matthew Perry (Toni) and Morgan Rogge.
Charlie and Elaine were among 13 original members of Our Savior Lutheran Church and helped construct the church when it was located on East Avenue.
Charlie's service will be held at Our Savior Lutheran church on Wednesday May 27 at 11:00am. Graveside burial will follow immediately after the service at Memory Gardens.
Donations can be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church or Hope Hospice.
