Our Uncle Ed was a wonderful man in so many ways – a beloved son; a supportive brother; a devoted husband and father; and a loving role model to extended family members, co-workers, and friends.

When I recall these things about Uncle Ed, I am reminded of the Scripture verse in Proverbs 22:1 – “A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.”

The name, Edward A. King, Jr., was and is a “good name” and he was, and will forever be “esteemed” in our hearts. May he rest in peace.

With love and admiration,
Nephew Steve

My mom adored her brother, so I grew up loving Uncle Ed even before I had the pleasure to get to know him as an adult. I have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Ed & Aunt Verna during our family gatherings with my cousins, Lesley and Ted as well as during my visits to San Francisco. Several years ago, Uncle Ed took me on a tour of Elsmere, NY, which gave me a deep appreciation of our small family's history. With the passing of our eldest relative, this is the end of a generation for our family. I already miss Uncle Ed for his wisdom and unconditional love, but I take comfort knowing that he is at peace and has been reunited with his beloved wife.
With much love from your "favorite" niece, Sue

Ed was my hero! He was always wonderful to be around, so very smart and always so active and fit. What a joy it was to be next door neighbors to Ed and Verna. We will greatly miss Ed, just as we miss Verna. Our condolences to the family, but how lucky you all are to have had Ed in your family and your life!
