Thank you for all the many free, broken ice creams on hot days when I had to walk home from Park Jr. High. Always missed, forever remembered.

Big Joe, you were a great Ice Cream Man and Friend! I loved ringing that bell on the back of your truck on San Jose Dr!

As one of the kids on Belle Dr Joe was a great influence and was always a great guy. He will be missed .

We all love you, Big Joe! The best Ice Cream Man, ever! Thanks for letting us hitch a ride, on our skates,to ride down the street, on your ice cream truck. Thanks for letting us ring your bell, that hung on the back of your truck (that must have gotten annoying) and for ALWAYS having MALTS handy! Great times growing up in the 70's and 80's, waiting for BIG JOE to come by! We would drop whatever we were doing, if even just to run out, to wave at you! May you have much Peace, at rest, and may your family be comforted at this time. Love, Tracey, Antioch

As one of the many children that grew up on Dolores St in Antioch we all looked forward to "Big Joe's" arrival every day. Now as an adult I remember his kindness and the truely wonderful man he was. My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and his family.
