I am truly sorry for your loss, what a great man.
Carol and Family,
It absolutely broke my heart to haer of Warren's illness and death. He was a wonderful man. He was witty, charming and a true leader. I will miss him.

My condolences to the Rupf family. I was very saddenened to hear the news as I met Sherrif Rupf several times and he was always a friendly and great guy to have conversations with. I played in the Warren Rupf golf tournies out at Discovery bay and we always had a fun day reflecting on Mr. Rupf's contributions in the county. Warren - you will be missed sorely but your contributions to making our community a better place will live on forever.

Condolences to Carol and the Rupf family on their loss. Warren was a great friend to me and my family. He was a good role model to those who follow the model of leadership known as "lead by example." I will never forget him and the great times we had at CCSO. May the good Lord be with him and when the time comes I truly hope to meet him in the great beyond. Love to Carol and family.
The Chilimidos family, (Daryl, Liz, Christopher and Michael send our sympathy. Mr. Rupf's family will remain in our prayers.
Warren Rupt; What words can be said to let all know what that name means and stands for! You were a Giant amoung men and will be sorely missed in Contra Costa County. I treasure our fair 'Rodeoing Days' and the other times when we swapped stories. My deepest sympathy and regards go out to Carole and the Rupt Family. Goodby old friend, the world will never be same without you in it. Alex Smith, Reserve Captain (Retired - 2006) CCCSO
It will always impress me that Sheriff Rupf took the time to personally come to a small town charitable foundation to discuss the need for School Resource Officer funding. He was a very down to earth person in his service to our community. Rest in Peace.

I will never forget the day I met him in that small airport cafe. A towering man in blue jeans and a flannel shirt. He was a man of great prescence even casually dressed. After talking with him for 5 minutes; he made me feel at ease; like I was talking with a man I had known for a long time. Even on days off, in small cafes, he was "the Sheriff" conducting buisness for the department. I will cherish the picture he made sure I received of him handing me my badge after swearing me in for office. He without a doubt changed the course of my life on that day. On another note, it took a while for Sheriff's Deputies from another agency to figure out who the towering man was anonymously picking up their bill as he slipped out of eateries in this small country town.
He was a remarkable man that will be greatly missed by his large extended family of men and women for whom he was a strong, gracious and steady leader.
The Rupf Family,
I did not know Warren or the Rupf family, so sad to hear of the loss of this fine man. Wishing you peace, sending prayers.
