Teddy "Ted" Edward Luke

Ted passed away peacefully with his family by his side.
His legacy will forever be the fond memories of his gentle, always courteous nature and love of family and friends.
Ted was born and raised in Mulberry, Kansas. Upon graduating from high school, he joined the Army Air Corps where he was trained as a B-29 co-pilot and stationed on Guam in the Pacific. After war he was shipped back to San Francisco, where he met Coriene, his wife of 51 years. They married in 1948 and moved to Kansas where Ted graduated from the University of Kansas. Returning to San Francisco, Ted went to work for Union Oil Co. in sales management until retiring in 1986. San Marino, CA was their last residence until 2005.
He enjoyed organizing family reunions, cards, Co-Weds, golf and vacationing in Maui with Coriene.
Ted is preceded in death by his wife Coriene and older brother Verle Luke. He leaves behind his younger brother Fred Luke of Gilbert, AZ, daughter Nan Luke of Laguna Beach, son Scott Luke of Pleasant Hill, daughter in-law Ann and his four grand-children, Kendra, Brian, David and Steven, Steven's wife Jody and his great-grand children Annalee, Tyler and Lauren.
Friends and family are invited to attend a gravesite celebration of life Dec. 14, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose, CA 95125
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society www.lls.org or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at www.mspacific.org.
