Kenneth L. "Kenny" Keller, age 79, of Jasper, Indiana passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday (June 18, 2014) at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper, Indiana. Kenny was born in Jasper, Indiana on February 15, 1935 to Oscar J. and Irene (Metzger) Keller. Kenny graduated with honors from Jasper High School in 1953. He retired from the Jasper Desk Company where he had worked for over 35 years in human resources. He was also employed part time at Siebert's for many years. He was a member of the United States Army, St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was very active in the Jasper Lions Club. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Jasper High School and Indiana University basketball and football fan. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his comic way of telling jokes. Surviving, three daughters, Becky Mehringer, and her husband, Sylvan "Junie", Jasper, IN, Chris Schnell, Jasper, IN, Angie Buffenbarger, and her husband, Mark, Velpen, IN, three Sons, Mike Keller, and his wife Shannon, Columbus, IN, Dave Keller, and his wife, Janet, Newburgh, IN, Al Keller, and his wife, Sheri, Jasper, IN, 17 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, one Brother, Dennis Keller, and his wife, Betty, Louisville, KY. Preceding him in death is one brother, Stanley Keller. Funeral services for Kenneth L. Keller will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday (June 21, 2014) at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with entombment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum. The American Legion Post #147 will conduct military graveside rites. Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday (June 20, 2014) the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Jasper Lions Club, March of Dimes, or to a favorite charity. Online condolences may be made at www.becherkluesner.com.
