Gary Allen Jesop

Gary Allen Jesop, 67, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Gary was born in Evansville, Indiana, on February 20, 1947, to the late Henry and Kathryn (Griffin) Jesop. Gary was very patriotic and was proud to have served in the United States Navy overseas. He retired from Whirlpool after 37 years of service. Gary was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and an I.U. fan. He enjoyed golfing at McDonalds and Fendrich golf courses and fishing for crappie and bluegill. Gary loved spending time with his family especially attending his children's and grandchildren's sporting events.
Gary is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rebecca "Becky" (Welsh) Jesop, of Evansville, IN; sons, Chris (Amber) Jesop, of Evansville, IN, Mark Jesop, of Evansville, IN; sister, Connie (Jeff) Holland, of Wingo, KY; brother, Ron (Susan) Jesop, of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Maddie, Gracie, Annie and Marshall Jesop; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2301 N. Stockwell Rd., Evansville, IN 47715, with Father Zach Etienne celebrating. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.
Friends may visit from 3 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 E. Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711, and again from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church or Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 E. Ohio St., Suite 304, Chicago, IL 60611.

I have great memories of Gary "GarBear" growing up...It wasn't nothing for me to get a call in the middle of the evening saying "Hey Skinner...you STANK!" followed by a dial tone..hahaha..or the time Patz hit him in the head with a golf ball...haha the comedy just didn't stop with this one..the world lost a great guy...RIP GarBear..Jesop family our prayers are with you!!
