Words cannot express the pain, the sorrow I feel in my heart for the souls we all lost. I can but only imagine the horrendous suffering the families of those lost are feeling. I hope that my prayers bring you a hint of solace, and a semblance of peace to your hearts.

May the God of mercy, Jehovah, bring you peace and balm for the wounds in your hearts and spirit.

As I see the American flags flying through our town, in more places than even on the 4th of July, I cannot stop grieving over the many many lives lost needlessly and without warning, in the terrorist attacks. I pray every day for the victims, those left behind, and also the terrorists themselves. I believe only the Holy Spirit can restore peace to our world, and I pray for that fervently. Thank you to all the people helping in New York and Washington, and to those in the military who will serve our country in the wake of this attack. God bless us all and have mercy!

May the Source of all Healing, by whatever name and in whatever religions that Source is called, touch all of our hearts and souls in this time of great grief. I especially pray for the surviving families, the families who wait anxiously in hope, the families who bury without the body of their loved one(s), the public servants in Fire, Police and Medical Rescue who have given their lives and those who give their time. I pray for all terrorists' souls that they may be healed and enlightened as to their distorted belief systems.

May the God of Abraham bless all humanity in this deeply troubled time. May God grant us a vision of Hope in such time of a despair.

The Rev. Donald B. McGaw
