Our hearts go out to the families of the vicitms of this tragic, senseless act. My wife and I taught high school students for a combined 77 years. Schools are supposed to be safe havens for young people, not places they should ever be afraid to attend. Know that all of you will never be alone or forgotten. As the President said, "today our hearts were broken." In time, we hope they are healed. No words can do justice to the feelings all people have at this tragic time. Knowing you are thought of and loved will hopefully comfort you in your sorrow. To the people of Newtown, stand together and strong!
