A truly humble man, he gave credibility to the Senate, my prayers and heartfelt condolences to the family at this sad time, we were fortunate as a country to have had him on our side.

Please accept my sympathy for your loss. May all be comforted by the wonderful promise: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more. Neither mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

Among many other things this great man is a star. Those who watch Ken Burns' series on World War II see much of Sen. Inouye from the beginning when the premed student and Red Cross volunteer treated the injured after the Pearl Harbor attack. The rest of the story is known, but is wonderful to watch. He was always the entire country's star and quintessential hero. I am proud to support the party he belonged to and served so ably. We will so miss this man. Aloha.
