My family lived in Shreveport from 1960 until 1970. My dad took me to see Mr. King perform when I was a very young girl. It was a great evening and a wonderful childhood memory~~

As I was about to lay the old thunderbird bass down for good,I had only one regret. I had never gone on the road in a tour bus.Then Mr. Claude King called, and I proceeded to have the coolest year of my life. Thanks Claude.

I lived on Wolverton Mountain and enjoyed singing his song so much. I went to church with Clifton Clowers. So sorry for your loss. Gods blessings.
