To Mrs Hill, Nancy, Azzira and the whole family of the Late Mr Jesse Hill Jr,...be assured that our prayers, sympathy, and condolences strive with you, as you approach and enter into this time of loss and reflection. Mr Hill has always held a special place in our hearts and lives. He was a good man, a good husband, a good father, a good Christian, a good servant, yet he was a good leader. He was a great mentor, a good advisor, a courageous "soldier" for justice, a supportive church layman, brother and friend. Atlanta and Big Bethel A M E Church has been blessed for so many years by his loyal service, love and unchanging faith in GOD. I'm believing that Mr Hill answered GOD'S call to Heavenly Service,...and is standing before the throne of GOD,..who is bestowing him "top honors" for being a good, humble servant to HIS people. Mr Hill must be receiving thousands of commendations from the angels, who saw all the work we didn't see. I believe he just got GOD'S "GREAT GOLD SERVICE AWARD" and is ready to take his place with GOD, as HE whispers to him,..."Well done my good and faithful servant". Rest In Peace Now.

I met Mr. Hill in the mid 1950s. He was always moving fast, race-walking up Auburn Avenue, as if he had a lot to do, a lot to accomplish. And in his lifetime, that he did. His achievements speak for themselves.
However, he was never to busy to speak, to be a friend. He was unequaled in caring for others. My family and I hold deep admiration and respect for Mr. Hill and the legacy he leaves behind. We want his family to know that they are close in thought and that our heartfelt sympathy goes out to them.
He was a giant whose legacy will live on for what he contributed to others. Beyond the public man,we all know that he loved his family. May it be of comfort to you that others share in your sorrow at this time.
Sincere condolences to a wonderful life that was lost. May the family take pride in his wonderful memories . and draw strength from a life well lived and in service to others.May the God of comfort grant you a measure of peace at this time.
Have faith in the promise God made at Psalms 37:29. It reads “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.” His promises bring us comfort and offers us hope.
We love you, we appreciate you, and we thank God for you. Rest in peace.

That need for justice and righteousness,is very strong there is a longing for it by those who want what is right and natural or what is deserved, it takes courage to stand up for it, and a self sacrificing spirit, that is what our Great God has in mind, equality, unity, justice, peace and harmony it is a need in order for all of us to exist and to be successful, that is the claim that each one of us is fighting for , our Great God will fulfill that need he himself is the epitome of justice, righteousness, unity and harmony,he is the only one that can and will bring this change about, he has promised.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it's the memories of you that are the most precious.
