I have not seen Rees in more than 30 years, but we go all the way back to Junior High, he was good people! We played football from 7th to 10th before he went full time track and cross country. He may have not been the best in sports, but he always gave 110% and he never gave up. It sounds like he lived his life over the years the same! RIP Bro!!!

My wife Audra and I met Rees when he visited Bogota Colombia for work. He made a lasting impression on us with his love of music and outlook on life. A great person to meet and someone I will remember....

Jacki, Kenni and I send our sympathy to you and your children at the loss of Rees. The city of Carlsbad will never be the same at the loss of a great person and such a wonderful musician. I actually met Rees many years ago when he was about 7 years old. Then many years later I worked with him in the water department, but the real relationship with him was thru Rees doing the sound for “The Stuck in the 60's Band” over the past 12 years. I will be writing about this on his Memorial Page soon. God Bless all your family. “Rock on Rees Lucas”

Everybody should know that Rees was responsible for the start of Saturday Classic Rock. Goodbye to my good friend, my neighbor, and my co-worker. We will miss you.
