It was an honor to get to know Dewey as a kid growing up, and a neighbor to his folks. I called my Uncle Lloyd Eggleston when I heard of his passing and we had a quite a visit. I didn't realize they were both serving in different Army Units in Okinawa along with Eli Shada of Ansley. Lloyd also mentioned that he had driven Dewey to Grand Island where he met Irma. I told him they had that in Dewey's obituary. It is funny my Mom and Dad met at his sister Helen's Birthday Party.
I know Uncle Lloyd was thrilled when he was able to visit with the Lee clan a couple years ago at the Ansley High School Reunion.
Dewey was so much like his father Ed--never met a stranger and never had an enemy. It has been a pleasure to have known four generations of the Lees. Dewey will sure be missed by all.
