Ruthie was an amazing ladyshe will really be missed by anyone and everyone that ever knew her. She was always funny and positive, regardless of what was happening around her. She even put up with us high-school knuckleheads crashing in the basement on far too many occasions, followed by us showing up at breakfast unannounced. Without flinching, she would serve up one of her amazing meals for which she was nearly infamous.

We will miss her laugh, her generosity, her insight, her friendship, and the way she cared so deeply for others. God waited 87 years to bring her home so she could bless the rest of us in the meantime. Mission accomplished!

I send my love and my sympathies to each of you; Ron, Bobbi, DeeAnn, Roy and Ken and all of your families, and to her sister, Jean. There are many who grieve with you and who feel the void left by this grand lady. Ruthie was ray of sunshine to everyone she knew. Her life was one of service and love. What an example she has been to all of us. I pray for the comfort of our Lord Jesus Christ to overshadow you and keep you as the days unfold.

I dearly loved Aunt Ruthie. She had a way to make people laugh and smile...a gift for lifting our spirits. So sweet and kind. I feel blessed to have been surrounded by such wonderful family growing up. Thanks be to God.

Ruthie made me so welcome when I would come to the motel with DeeAnn when we were high school friends (after school, on weekends, during the occasional blizzard). I picture her joking and laughing with us, trying to teach us to drink coffee (unsuccessfully). The last time I saw her was in Martin several years ago, and she was smiling and laughing like always. She will always be one of my role models for the way she lived life, even into her 'good old age'. Blessings and prayers to Ron, Bobbi, DeeAnn, Roy, and Ken and your families.
