Grandma Posie was very important in my life at one time. I will never forget the letters she sent and how the words she wrote were so important and helpful. I am so happy that my son Isaac Wahl got to meet and spend some time with his Great Grandma. I will always have a special place in my heart for her.

Rosalie was a strong role model for me and I was honored to call her friend. When I was sworn in, with my father and brothers at my side, it was the smile from Rosalie that made the day. I remember the lunches we would have where we would plot the next steps in creating a better world. My love and prayers to the family. What a wonderful blessing she was to us all.

I had a wonderful opportunity to work with Justice Wahl at the Minnesota Supreme Court, and the greatest benefit is that Rosalie became an enduring friend. She is a beacon of light in pursuing justice, the public expression of it -- and in the art of kindness. I dedicated more than one written work to her, and speak of her often. While her loss is great, I know that I will continue to be inspired by her example, commitments and passions. An extraordinary person.

Posey's radiance touched my life briefly but her generous spirit has continued to affect me. Her passing makes the world, and my mine, a sadder place. My love to you all.

In 1977, as a single parent law student at WMCL, Rosalie's presence was a constant testimony to the fact "you can do it. Even after her well-deserved judicial appointment she remained a sharing Mother. While dropping our kids off for YMCA Camp St. Croix, on hearing of my son's penchant for "sliders", she confided of another of the justice's similar "taste" -- always bringing all to common ground.

May you find great comfort in your happy memories until you are reunited.

Jenny, it's refreshing to here of the fairness your mother Rosalie pursued in her profession. For a certainty God is not impartial. This is a characteristic of our Heavenly Father, whose image we are made. (Acts 10:34, 35) My deep sympathy to the Wahl family.

When I worked at Legal Assistance of Washington County, Rosalie Wahl would call to see how our tiny organization was doing. Her interest in equal justice for people continued long after her retirement. When I called her "Justice Wahl", she told me to call her Rosalie. That is just how she was. Rosalie will be greatly missed.

I remember sitting in a gym at st. cloud campus when joan growe announced the appointment. I have never experienced real electricity being produced by a crowd of women. It is an experience I will never forget. I am so sorry for your loss. I am so happy for our gain, she was an amazing role model.
