MAPLE PARK - Joyce M. Bauer of Maple Park, died at 5:55 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014, in Schneck Medical Center, Seymour, Indiana.
Born in Chicago, the daughter of Vernon and Ruth (Desens) Nimmer and graduate of Proviso High School, she married Richard Bauer Sept. 27, 1971, in Burlington, Illinois. Joyce was a waitress at Uptown, Kendells and Sorrentos for many years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lily Lake, Illinois and Trinity Lutheran Church in Summerfield, Florida. She enjoyed gardening, entertaining, cooking and traveling with family.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; children, Robert (Donna) Treadwell of Genoa, Sue (Jeff) Rosenberg of Malta, and Brad (Debbie Meyer) Treadwell of Virgil; grandchildren, Brian, Ali, Bobby, Cody, James, Aleah, and Sam; and brother, Ralph (Laurel) Nimmer of Woodstock. Predeceased by her daughter, Jori Bauer; and parents.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014, in Grace Lutheran Church, Lily Lake. Burial in Lily Lake Cemetery. Visitation from 9 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service in the church. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church. Arrangements by Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Quiram Sycamore Chapel.
