I will truly miss you. I know you are in God's arms! Your entry into the Catholic faith was a goal you achieved and wanted for a long time. I will miss you!!

Hello- I didn't know Fred personally, but as a parishioner of St Edwards Catholic Church, my heart is happy that he was recently baptized into the Church. He sounds like an amazing young man, and I know that he had beautiful escorts Into Heaven. May the Lord bring peace to your family. Yours in Christ.

My condolences to Frank and Minnie Tapaha and the family. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of your only son. It is a difficult time for all of you. My thoughts and prayers go to you and your family.

In the couple of years I coached and interacted with Fred, I could appreciate his brutal honesty...only from a Marine. For most of the team-members who were not familiar with his "style" it was unsettling, but for me, as a former Marine, I could relate to his military jargon, quick wit, and sarcastic sense of humor. In fact, I'm glad he came out to participate on the Dine College Archery Team. He added "LIFE" to the team by getting people out of their comfort zone and to question people, to get people to evaluate and to re-affirm their own values and identities. Semper Fidelis...Fred now walks alongside our Code-talkers.

Fred will be greatly missed and I wish I had the chance to talk to him. Even him being able to see his niece whom I wanted her to know uncle because he loved to spoil his nephew and niece. Each day gets harder but with all the prayers from you all.I'm glad to have a brother who stood his ground and spoke his mind even though others didn't appreciate his comments. But he was able to make friends whom have such good and bad stories of him really makes me stronger knowing he made a great impact in everyone's lives. Missing his crazy laugh and the time we were together will never be forgotten. He is in a better place along with our other brother. We all will miss you and love you.
