We have now and encourageded the next generation to adoped your keen skills in stucture. We have followed your lead and will do so as educators and Stylist's behind the chair for all those to follow.
Rest now Vidal...we'll hold the wheel for you and will continue on..in your form and fashon.
Sandra, Ottawa Canada
You will live on forever. Thank you for all you gave.
Our prayers go out to family of Mr.Sanson...
A great man, that will never be forgotten
I worked with Mr. Sassoon in the mid-seventies and enjoyed celebrating his 50th birthday with Count Basie and his orchestra. I later worked for President Ronald Reagan. Very similar and great men. Lifted all in their presence and definitely made their mark on the world and in the hearts of millions. May they both rest in peace. Yvonne Maddox Roderick (Utah)
Vidal Sassoon, your presence on this planet will be greatly missed. Vidal taught so many to take great pride in their craft, and to always strive to improve. Cutting hair is an art form when taken seriously. Hair can be the medium to shape and colour into the artists and clients artistic expression. Vidal was a true creative genius ( as was Annie Humphries his colorist) and Vidal was kind enough to pass down his methods to those who strive to be the best at what they do.
Thank you Vidal Sassoon!
A sad time in the world of Hair Dressers!! RIP Mr. Sassoon. You will be missed!!!
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
He wii be missed god bless his family
Why I thought he was an amazing man: When I was about 25, in the late 1970s, I thought of this man as "that hair guy." My brother had his hair cut by students at Vidal's salon, for free, and often arrived home with a rather strange new look. What did I know? I was invited to a luncheon for "young professional women," for the L.A. Jewish Federation, and Vidal was the guest speaker. I was so blase, oblivious to a lot going on around me, but internally Jewish and supportive of Israel without being active about it. Well, everything changed that day. Vidal got up to speak, and like the swami hypnotically elevating his subject, I was mesmerized. He told his story. His upbringing. His commitment to Israel as a teen, going to Israel to fight for Independence, never yielding in remember who he was, a Jew. Then he asked all of us to make a monthly pledge, as much as we could, to support the Jewish Federation, which supported Israel. People started calling out amounts. Even though this was a "young" women's group, I was among the youngest, barely out of school and struggling for a career, earning $13,000 a year. Up I stood and yelled, "$60!" That doesn't sound like a lot, but after taxes, I took home barely enough to pay my rent, car insurance and gas each month without asking for a handout from my parents. I made the first two pledge payments, then talked to my very wise mother. I couldn't make more than $20 a month, and that was going to be hard. She told me to call the Federation and tell them to reduce my payment, they would understand. She also told me, to paraphrase, that Vidal Sassoon was a remarkable Jew who didn't just talk-the-talk, he walked the walk. This was the beginning of my living what I had learned in religious school but never really incorporated into my life until then: tzedakah. I might have come to it in my own way eventually, but it took the inspiration of the most amazing man, Vidal Sassoon, to get me on the road to it sooner. Even in my most difficult days, I have never forgotten to support our people, because of him. May his memory live on in acts of kindness and charity!
My deepest sympathy to the family in your time of loss. Know that God will comfort your heart as you rely on him. Psalms 55:22
As a former empolyee of Vidal Sassoon from 1979 - 1986, I wish his family my deepest sympathy of the passing of a great Human Being, and a person who respected everyone who worked at Vidall Sassoon Inc.

On my previous entry I stated I was a VP at Vidal Sassoon in Century City in the early to late 50's. It was actually the early to late 80's. Knowing Vidal's humor, I am sure he is reading these remembraces, and laughing his fanny off at my error! Goodness do I miss him and his smile!
Thank you for making me feel beautiful with your products for so long. God Bless you Vidal. Rest in peace.
RIP VIDAL SASOON....THANK YOU ..for evolutionising the craft of hairdressing turning it into a profession ,for Leaving a legacy Of THE BEST EDUCATORS IN THE WORLD for Cutting and colouring hair second to none!....and whilst achieving this remaining to be one of the most infectiously passionate charismatic guys I have ever met ...you will be so so sadly missed sending love and and Heartfelt hugs to you... Thank you for being such a legend xxxxxxxx
I am so sorry for your loss. The God of comfort has promised to do away death, for he has promised.
I was a VP at Sassoon in the early to mid-50's. Vidal was not only my boss and good friend, but got me through a life threatening medical problem.A truthfully outstanding person as a businessman, and a human being. I could write a book about the man as a human being, and the bigger than life person in the health and beauty business. I, and all my fellow ex Sassoon coworkers are saddened by the loss.
RIP Vidal...what an enormous loss for the hair industry.Words cannot express the sadness we all feel.Deepest sympathy for your family. You will be missed and always remembered. Thank you Vidal for touching my life! xx
Every person who has hair appreciates what a loving, creative and hard-working man Vidal was. He will never be forgotten. However, very soon God will resurrect him to enjoy the life he was meant to live; perfect human health on a beautiful paradise earth forever

OH, Vidal Sassoon: Rest In Peace. I have always admired and so loved your products. Started using your items in the 1980's and still do to today. I am so sorry that we've lost you. You were the Top #1.
God Bless his loving soul as it travels home.
I met Vidal when my husband was the business manager for famed Beverly Hills hairdresser, Gene Shacove, who was a devotee of Vidal's. One night we all danced the night away at Gene's CANDY STORE disco.
Then to publicize the opening in
1982, of what he established: the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem - I was Vidal's dinner party in Houston, Texas.
A better human being you would be hard-pressed to find!
My deepest condolences to the Sassoon family. As a fellow stylist i have learned a great deal from Vidal's work. He will truly be missed. May your cherished memories of Vidal bring you comfort during this difficult time and may the God of peace be with you all.
A truly great human being. Thank you to the family for sharing him with us all these years. God bless you, Mr. Sassoon. I wonder whose hair you're styling now? In love,
Always loved and admired you! Only wish I was half the hairdresser you were! Thought you would live forever loved reading your books and watching your show with your wife. RIP you will be missed!
I always loved everything that you did. your products are great. Now you are in Heaven styling hair for the Angels. May God be with you. Love Sandra Slater, Louisville Ky
Vidal Sassoon was the first teacher of 'precision haircutting.' I was lucky enough to take haircutting lessons from him at the Midwest Beauty Show in Chicago in the 1960s. He transformed scissor cutting. I still cut hair, due to learning his technique, better than 99% of the hairstylists out there. RIP Vidal, and thank you again for that autographed picture you gave me.
What a shame we cant go on forever! I was in cosmetology school at the time he was becoming prominent and what memories that time in my life will recall. What a terrible loss! My Family wishes your Family the best and continued success in all your endeavours and sends prayers for you at this time.
Always loved your products, and I certainly remember when ~ God bless you and your loved ones.
My deepest sympathy to the family. May God give you comfort and strength.

Though I did not know him personally, I am indebted t him for a kinder, gentler way to style my hair. I so appreciate an end to sleepless nights trying to sleep on a head full of curlers. I still have a few of the syling combs and brushes from his hairdryers. I use them every day in styling my hair. Carmen

R.I.P. and my your beautiful soul have an alleyah in heaven! I know the Sassoon family many years ago in England. Like many others at for a long time I would only get my hair cut by Vidal Sassoon. I loved the book was co-authored by Beverly in the 70's--it was my Health & Beauty bible! My sincere condolences--may the Sassoon family be comforted amongst the mourners of Zion & Jerusalem! May "Vidal Sassoon" legacy live on. Love from Laurette Ben-Nathan (Holland Park Synagogue)
Sorry to hear of his passing. When I was a teenager in the 1970's, he was a guest on a San Francisco radio talk show. I called in and asked if it were true that permanent wave solution had the same components of hair straightener (very prone to damage and hair breakage, not to mention bleaching from the peroxide). I having curly hair DID NOT want curly hair in the long and straight '70's. Vidal said oh curled hair was "exciting and fun." Perhaps, but not for a 17 year old looking for his first date! Once he was done with the call he commented "Damn good question. Never been asked that before!"
My condolences to the Sasoon family. May you find comfort from God's word recorded at Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10 regarding the loss of your loved one.
Rest In Peace. Love You.Mimi George
