Our family sends our sympathies to Denise and Ron. We loved spending time with your mom and sister, and she shared her love of bunnies and volunteer spirit with our daughter and our family for these past 16 years. Bless her and all the critters she rescued and loved.

Dear Bona,
It was a joy to know you, sadly far too briefly.
Your caring compassion reminds many people of what it is to be a truly caring person in a techno-money focused world. Your love & kindness relieved much suffering, gave hope, inspired many, and will continue to do so.
Thank you for being a beacon of light and love.
The Rainbow Bridge awaits, bunny binkys & hugs >:)

Bona I didn't get to know you that long but for what little time I did know you I loved you dearly. Your love, your compassion, your warmth, your passion, your kindness, are some of the many reasons why I loved you. You were such a wonderful woman and rescuer. The world is a darker place without you. I hope you are happy with your family and all the buns that have crossed over the rainbow bridge.

Your compassion, wisdom and action touched my heart, my mind and my soul. You brought goodness to all you did. You were light in the community as you always listened, always cared and always made a difference. I have such fond thought of you, such admiration. You passing directs us to God because you served Him as you walked on Earth and have been a good steward to humanity and animals. You're one of those people that makes the world a better place.

She has now transcended from our present land of shadows to a dwelling in the eternal Light of our Creator. Her Spirit was one of beauty and will continue in all our memory. May your Spirit and Guidance from up above rest upon our daughter Denise.

Our family adopted Sugar from Bona's rescue. She taught us how to care for her as she lived out her life in our forever home. We frequented her store in Torrance and San Pedro until it closed. Bona was a voice for all those sweet bunnies. She will be missed. God rest her soul.

I had such admiration for you Bona with your two Petsave businesses and got to know you in 2001 at your Torrance store, then at your Rabitat in San Pedro. You were so generous in all areas loaning me a rabbit cage on wheels for a rabbit I saved and then when you held adoptions at the old Lomita Nursery invited me to bring my rescued dogs their for adoption. I will cherish some of the jewelry I bought at your stores as a personal keepsake and reminder of you. I know you are surrounded in a glowing light and love. Rest in peace Bona. -

God only takes the best and you were one of the best Bona!! <3

Dear Bona,
I can't believe you're gone. This wasn't the outcome we were praying for. We were supposed to be celebrating your recovery at San Diego Bunfest in September. You were the best friend a bunny - or another rescuer - could ever have. I can only believe that tonight you are surrounded in heaven by the many bunnies and other creatures whose lives you saved over the last two decades. You will be sorely missed, forever loved, and I will be remembering you every time I hold a bunny. Rest softly, dear friend.

God Bless You, Bona for all the good work and devotion to our other "furry friends." When we think rescue, we usually think cats and dogs. Once you've had a bunny, you'll never go back! They are low maintenance, affectionate, easily housebroken (except for plugs or wires) and they all have their own personalities...much like dogs and cats. You will certainly be missed (been looking for a Flemish giant!). My condolences to your husband and daughter, as well.

The most amazing woman to walk this Earth. Michael and I will miss you dearly. We love you so much, Bona. Our daughter will know everyday of her life about her amazing grandma Bona and all the amazing things you did. ❤ You are a constant memory in our home and we will always cherish our times together. Thank you for being family to us. Thank you for loving us as we loved you.

I love you Bona. I can't believe that I'm never gonna get to talk with you again. You were never short on time. Every time I went to your place to deliver you yet ANOTHER dumped domestic rabbit, we'd spend time talking about so many little things. You were such a genuine woman. Just a true, purely good, heartfelt person. For some reason I told myself that you were getting better. I remember how happy I was when you responded with one word to my text when you were ailing. I knew that you were sending your love. I have that ball in my throat with tears rolling down my cheeks. It would a been fun to have one more time. I miss you so ALREADY. I love you. See you soon. Thank you for EVERYTHING. xxxooo...
