Caroline Mary Curtin
Caroline Mary Curtin, age 93, passed away August 4, 2014 in Surprise, Arizona. She was born July 16, 1921 in Tipton, Kansas to Joseph Mispagel and Catherine Jacobs-Mispagel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Curtin in 2004; son, Carl Curtin and siblings, Bud, Ed, Mike Leo, Jerome, Geraldine and Mary Lou. Caroline is survived by children: Stephen (Carolee) Curtin of Scotts Valley, CA; Carol (Jim) O'Neill of Wickenburg, AZ; Chris Curtin and former wife, Suzanne Curtin of El Segundo, CA; Barbara Walker and John Bishop of Firestone, CO; Laura Curtin (Geanne Reincke) of Long Beach, CA; brothers, Fred (Stephanie) Mispagel, Larry Mispagel, Paul (Lavina) Mispagel; sister Magaret (Gil) Harmon; grandchildren, Matt, Andy and Stephanie Curtin, Ann O'Neill, "Cookie" Martin, Jimmy O'Neill, Emily Curtin, Sam Curtin and Max Curtin and Ryan Walker, and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, August 11, 2014 from 4 pm until 8 pm with a Vigil Service at 7 pm, both at Rice Chapel, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, CA. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 10 am at St. Joseph Church, 11901 Acacia Avenue, Hawthorne, CA with the burial taking place in Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. A reception will take place immediately following at the Lomita VFW Hall, 1865 Lomita Blvd., Lomita, CA. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Curtin family. Caroline was an amazing woman and so caring. She was a huge supporter when Laura and I played softball together. God Bless you all

Sending love and prayers. Caroline was such a lovely, delightful person. We feel blessed for having known her. We looked forward to seeing her when we visited my niece, Carolee and husband Steve. She will be missed.
