Dear June,
Dick was a bright light to all who were privileged to know him. In the years that we served together on the City Council, Dick always carried himself with grace, wisdom and civility. He had that rare quality of working tirelessly for consensus where that was possible, and being able to disagree without being disagreeable when a meeting of the minds could not be achieved. Dick was a special man and he will be missed. Warmest regards, Doug Brown

He was a generous soul and touched many lives as a servant to the Torrance community. We are all blessed because we knew him. Forever in our hearts. Love, The Guerras

Dear June,
I was so sad to hear of Dick's passing. He was quite a guy! So happy and such good humor. It was an honor to have him in our city. He and Jim did a lot of kidding around.
Try and remember your many happy memories.
We send love to you and your family.

Dick was my fathers financial broker for many years. I remember visiting Dick's office in PV with my father many times. Dick was always friendly, generous, understanding and ethical with a calm disposition. He was a great role model. With sympathy....Duffy Brierley.

We met Dick and June when we moved across the street in 2009. We felt like we had known them all our lives as soon as Dick started talking. We'll miss his "drive-bys" when he'd roll down the window and impart some wisdom laced with humor to brighten our day. It is truly an honor and a privilege to have known him.

My condolences to all the Rossberg family. Mr Rossberg was kind, generous, and wise. He shared his values, and ethics openly which as an adult I greatly admire and helped me become the man I am today. Once again my heartfelt condolences.

Mr. Rossberg was truly an inspiration to all of us here in the Community Services Department. His quick wit and dry sense of humor was something all of us looked forward to when he would drop in and say "hello" to our team. Dick was a very generous man and was loved by everyone in our department, he will be missed.

I met Dick Rossberg as a 20-year-old college student when I ran for Torrance City Council, in which I happened to be running in the field he was also running in (seemed like a good idea at the time). Dick treated me with respect in spite of my age and took me under his wing to learn the right way to do things. From that time on I've always considered him a friend and a mentor. He was always concerned about my family especially after the loss of my wife and would call occasionally to get together for lunch to find out how everyone was doing. His presence and love of the downtown show brightly in what we have achieved and will be a lasting memory to a truly great man.

Claudia, I'm so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. He was truly a giant in Torrance, but he was a regular guy at St. Lawrence, involved in everything with all you and your brothers and sister did. I clearly remember him sitting in my parents living room, giving them financial advice. Please accept my sincere condolences. With Love

Hearts are heavy in Torrance. We have lost a great example, mentor and friend. His impact was not just on the landscape of the city, but also on those who reside and do business in Torrance.
