I always enjoyed Bob's visits with my dad when I was growing up. They would laugh a lot! He and my dad were school chums and "professional" mischief makers when they were kids back in Centralia, IL! I am thankful that I got a chance to visit with him and Doris out in San Pedro back in summer of 2010.
Doris - Though Bob will be dearly missed by all, memories will keep him alive in our minds and hearts. Our deepest condolences. Our thoughts are with you.
Bob will be missed. His wry smile, infective laugh and keen wit made him a special person, a special friend. His loss is shared by many of us in Prescott.
I lost a good friend with Bob's passing. Bob Beck and his wife, Doris, became friends with my husband, Larry and me through Sister Cities here in Prescott, AZ. Bob and I shared roots in Southern Illinois. I traveled with them and another couple to Oaxaca, Mexico for two weeks after Larry's death (Oct/Nov 2003). We shared many good times over meals at my house and theirs over the years here in Prescott before their return to San Pedro in 2010. They were the first friends that I introduced my new husband, Bob to when we started dating. After their return to San Pedro, we were friends on Facebook.
His passing leaves a void.
My sisters and I feel so very blessed to have had such a wonderful uncle. He always made us laugh hysterically at all of his funny faces and voices. He was such a comedian and we always looked forward to vacations and visits with our Beck family. Our thoughts condolences go out to Doris, Dave and Mark. Uncle Bob will be sadly missed.
We were so sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. We're sending you a hug from afar.
We will miss him profoundly. Not sure if "profoundly" is an actual word, but Bob would know.

What a great man and journalist. And also very dedicated to the communities of San Pedro and Wilmington. I am sorry to learn of his passing. He contributed much to the communities in the Harbor Area.
I'll miss you Bobbi! but I am also glad that you are free of pain at long last. I think back to all the times you made me laugh over the years, and I will always remember you with a smile. Love, Krys
