My memories of Bob go back to the '40's when we were school mates. He and his family wrapped their arms around me when I was really in need. We entered the Army together, and last saw Bob at 50 year reunion. Rest in Peace Dear friend;Yoy have reached your final goal! Jesus, Mary, & Joseph-Welcome The Man!

Our sincere sympathy goes out to Bob's family. He was one of a kind. His warmth, ready smile, and devilish sense of humor made him a lovable adversary at the bridge table. He was a wonderful example of how to deal positively with physical challenges. One of our favorite Bob memories is the time when, in mock anger over a bridge result, he removed his prosthesis and shook it at Jim in a gleefully threatening way! He and Ginger are sorely missed by our bridge gang.

Bob, I know your spirit is still with us even though you won't be playing bridge with us anymore. I will really miss you. You always had a positive spirit even in the face of many personal adversities. You were very kind and understanding when we made terrible mistakes. I never heard a sharp word out of your mouth. I remember all the lessons you taught us over the years. It really helped me to be a better bridge player and seeing your approach to life made me a better person. You have earned your eternal reward.

Bob, I'll never forget all the bridge lessons you conducted for us; now we don't have anyone to answer our questions, bridge will never be quite the same without you. I think of you every day when I read the bridge column, and still have all the bridge columns you cut out--they go all over the world with me. We had so much fun every week, and you truly were a gentleman, as someone said. I'm sure that heaven is even a more happier place now that you're there. Barbara Busch

Margi and I will miss you kindness, your sense of humor. You were ever a gentleman (in the true sense of the word) and an example for all to follow of good sportsmanship. May all your slams be grand!
