Eleanor Marie Hill
Eleanor Marie Hill, 63 year resident of the South Bay, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013 in Belfair, Washington. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Eleanor was 89 when she died. She met her husband, Sam, in El Paso, TX, where she worked as a draftsman for the army. A dedicated and loving mother to her six children, Eleanor was also a reader, a painter, and a gardener, especially enjoying her orchids. Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Nancy Acosta of Belfair, WA; son, David (Karen) Hill of Pleasant Hill; son, James Hill of San Diego; son, Michael Hill of Boise, ID; son, Roger (Eileen) Hill of Gardena; son, Steve (Kristian) Hill of Hotchkiss, CO; grandchildren Sarah (Brendan) Acosta Smith, Anna and Matt Acosta, Bridget, Denis (Alison), Nadia, Willa, Benjamin, Susanna, and Ava Hill; great granddaughter, Declan Acosta Smith; and brothers Paul and Robert (Jan) Strecker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Samuel Hill, and her parents, Walter and Eleanor Strecker. The Service will be held at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church in Torrance on Monday August 26, 2013 at 9:30am followed by burial at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside at 1:30pm.
