I was honored to give the eulogy for a close friend and an admirable person. I hope everyone there understood my message. He was one of the most highly principled, loyal and devout men I was ever fortunate enough to call my friend.

Mrs. Hawkins and family,
We only knew your dad since we moving to South Shores, SP a year and half ago.
We are his neighbors 2113 unit 2. James (Jamie) and I would like to send you our warmest condolences. We have been thinking about the family during this difficult time. Jim had a beautiful soul and kind heart. He would always love to stop in front of our place and share many stories. And, those stories lasted an hour.:) I still remember my last conversation with Jim. He loved his boys! He was a proud father! My husband and I were shocked by his passing because he had so many things he wanted to do. He was on a mission and very determined. We will miss seeing his smile, the warmth of his heart and conversations in our complex. Jim will remain in the Shaw's hearts forever. I like this song by Gary Allan, "Life AIn't Always Beautiful, Tears will fall sometimes , but what a BEAUTIFUL RIDE! I like to think that Jim had a beautiful ride in life and I know his passing has left a heartache, but the memories no one can steal. He is with our Lord now and I know the heavens are listening to his stories. RIIP my friend.
