Teri, Richard, Craig and other family members. I know I'm coming in late here but I ran across this recently and I was saddened by the news.

Even though it's been a lot of years, I remember your father quite well. He was very witty and a great guy to just talk to one on one. Again, I am very sorry for your loss.

My deepest sympathies to Dorothy and family on the passing of Joe. I had the good fortune to work with Joe when he was Director of Instruction for Area A of LAUSD. He was a wonderful person and a great boss! He was such a classy guy who was always very supportive, and had exceptional insight into the student learning process. Because of his knowledge and leadership, he had a significant impact on the lives of thousands of students. Joe, indeed, was a true educational hero! May he rest in peace.

Joe "Mr. Thompson", was the middle grades supervisor in the Harbor Area when I started teaching in 1959. He had my respect then and now. My sincerest condolences to Dorothy and the family.

My sincerest sympathy to the Thompson family. I first met Joe when I was a new teacher many years ago. He was truly one of the "good guys" in the LAUSD. May his soul rest in peace.

My love and prayers to you Dorothy. Joe was one of a kind. I use to enjoy our conversations when he volunteered at TMMC and even the short ones we would have on the phones when he stopped volunteering. Joe, you were so special and I am so thankful I got the opportunity to know you. Love you Joe. Until I see you again.
