Very saddened when I heard the news about George. I grew up in Barberton, Ohio, the hometown of George and Lorrie Morgan and am a fan of the Possum all my life. We moved to Spring Hill a year and half ago. One of the first adventures in Tennessee was to visit your home. And to be there at Christmas with the rocking chair and beautiful lights was beyond description. His music is so tremendous and each song gives such a meaning. I'm sorry I never had the privilege to meet and talk with George. Nancy and family, please know our prayers and thoughts are with George and all of you. May God bless all of you.

Family of George and band members, . George was truly a legend and one of the last remaining truly country music singers. This is a very sad time for his family, friends, and fans. May God be with you in the days ahead.

The Possum will live on forever through his music and the wonderful memories that he made through his fans and all that loved him.
May god give his family strength and peace during this time of mourning and just know that if he were given a chance to come back, I'll bet he would choose singin' with Jesus in Heaven over this old world anytime.
