"Not enough words to say about such a kind & humble man. My friend and brother musician. Yes, kind & humble."
Not enough words to say about such a humble man; someone that was so kind to me as a friend and brother musician. Yes, kind & humble.
-Your friend, Russell
I feel so blessed to have met and been a part of all of the Marlin family. Jimmy was such a talented drummer and I always enjoyed listening to RBR when he was playing!! I considered him a friend and we had a common bond in loosing our spouses to cancer. The last time I saw him, he gave me a big hug and said, "you need to stop by more often". I had stopped by to pick up Bambe' that day. So something to keep in mind, you never know when it will be the last time..... always tell your friends and loved ones how much they mean to you! Jimmy, I miss you..
So glad that through Facebook, I was able to connect with Jim, whom I and Timi were very fond of many years ago. I continue prayer for all his loved ones, and that Jimmy receive the highest blessings upon his free spirit. I send you all the love in my heart. David.
You are all in my heart and my prayers, Uncle Jim. Aunt Marlene, Bambe, and Miles. I wish I gotten to know Jimmy better. I know he is with his wife now. I love you guys.
Jim, I only saw you a few times and always up on the stage. Like your sister said I was always "sweet" on you but I was always married. Your are still in my thoughts and I think about what might have been. God Bless, Kathy
I loved my brother James Jr so much. Our family is so touched by your tributes, thank you Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. It means a lot.
Heartfelt condolences to Uncle Jim, Aunt Marlene, and Cousins Bambe and Miles plus all Jim's family and friends. May you find moments of peace and comfort in your grief. I have prayed for you and will keep you in prayer throughout the year. I remember as a child visiting you in Boulder - horseback riding, laughing in the bunkhouse, feeling loved by you all.

Jimmy is the youngest of a long historical line of James Marlin. Like his ancestors his unique talents have left their mark on those who shared in those talents. Warm memories of Jimmy, from his birth to his passing, shall forever remain with me.
