Jenny Johnston Obituary

Jenny Ann Johnston
Oct. 9, 1975 - Oct. 20, 2012

Jenny Ann Johnston of Esparto passed away on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at the age of 37 as a result of her two-year battle with breast cancer. She was our loving wife, mother, sister and friend.
Jenny was born on Oct. 9, 1975, in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Michael and Sibbie (Johnson) Lott. She attended grade school in Texas and in California after moving here with family in 1987. She graduated from Woodland High in 1994 and went on to obtain her bachelor of fine arts degree in video production from California College of Arts and Crafts in San Francisco/Oakland.
She earned a living in various administrative positions, most notably with Pacific Maritime Association (Oakland) and EIP Associates (Sacramento). In 2004, she obtained certification as a licensed massage therapist specializing in pregnancy massage and ran her own massage therapy business called Wellspring Massage. Jenny spent the last three years of her life as a homemaker and stay at home mom, taking care of her two beautiful daughters.
She was an avid shutterbug and videographer. She enjoyed traveling with her family and tending her backyard vegetable garden. As a film buff, she loved going to the movies. She was a lover of the arts and received great joy visiting art galleries and attending concerts and plays.
Jenny's love for her family, her perseverance in overcoming obstacles and her optimism for the future are qualities which will continue to inspire and guide us.
Jenny is survived by her husband Jeremy Johnston, daughters Lillian and Lorelei Johnston, father and stepmother Michael and MaryAnn Lott, mother Sibbie Lott, and siblings Michelle Leal, Anthony Lott and Michael James Lott.
Charitable donations and gifts may be made to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, American Cancer Society or to the Esparto Elementary School.

We woke this morning to the devastating news of the passing of our Wife,Mother,Daughter,Sister,Niece and Friend.How were we to be able to exist
without all of the things that Jenny was? This news was tragic , the day was out of sorts and sad. While sitting and contemplating this event, I noticed the sun rising. This sunrise looked so much like Jenny's smile, always bright and happy. No evidence of pain or sadness.
the day was clear as a bell ,no clouds on the horizon to cast doubt on the outcome of the day. This was so much like the look in her eyes,both clear and understanding with no cause of alarm of the future. While still sitting and contemplating this tragedy,I noticed the breeze had come up, reminding me of the peace and soothing feeling of seeing Jenny in the yard with her hair blowing. How I asked on this day of tragedy could the day be so perfect? It finally came to me,that the spirit of Jenny was free;
to be shared by all that wanted to look. Her cheerful spirit was not constrained to her family and friends,
but could now be shared by all. It also came to me that days like this could be used to remind/introduce her two young children that are now
going to miss a life of passing under the peaceful umbrella that surrounded Jenny. As they are growing and want to know of their Mother, all one needs to do is point to a perfect sunrise, a clear day and a gentle breeze to describe what being around Jenny was like. While reviewing these thoughts it came to me that the day was not a tragedy,but a blessing for both those that knew Jenny, and especially those
that did not. For God had taken one of his treasures from a painful life, given her peace,and shared her with all...
