This is a small note of appreciation of the joy that Joan Fontaine brought with her legacy of the great films in which she starred.

Born in L.A. during the height of J.F's. stardom she was my very favorite star. She could make drab lives sparkle with her art and beauty. Reuben Hart

Joan was a wonderful actress, the kind never to be seen again. I just watched "This Above All" for the umpteenth time; one never tires of seeing the brilliant performances of this actress. She made her roles so believable that I've often found myself to be part of the film. Not knowing her personally, I could only wish to have met her to tell her how much she has meant to me. I do hope Joan Fontaine had a great life and that she has peace in the afterlife. Thank you Joan....

Sincerest condolences to Joan's two daughters,Deborah Leslie Dozier,Martita Pareja Calderon, and to her sister,Olivia de Havilland. As a loyal fan since '97, I never missed sending Joan de Beauvoir de Havilland Fontaine, Christmas, Birthday, Valentine,Easter, Mother's Day, and Thanksgiving Day Cards. She surprised me on several occasions by reciprocating postcards. They will be cherished forever! Joan and Orson Welles created a most unique romantic chemistry, for me, in Jane Eyre. She is a "Great Lady", who will truly be missed!
