My condolences to the Bonner family on the passing of Leroy "Sugarfoot" Bonner. He left behind a great legacy of funk that will never fade. He will always be remembered for his unique style and genuine creative spirit. Rest in peace brother.

To the Bonner Family, My heartfelt prayers continue to go out for all the families and friends of such an acclaimed and loved person. May the God of all comfort be with you as we await the promises of Isa 65:19 for everyone - "No more will there be heard in her the sound of weeping or a cry of distress.

So grateful for your music and your smile and how much fun you seemed to have onstage. So glad for the video footage of you and the Ohio Players. R.I.P. xoxo

Sugarfoot sung to me at a gathering at Brownstone restaurant in Columbus Ohio. He sat on a stool the whole time he sung and I knew he wasn't feeling like himself. He seranaded me with Heaven Must Be Like This and even though his voice was a little weak, he sounded just like the record. I got my picture taken with him and will forever remember that day. Rest In Paradise Sugarfoot! Janice Kavanaugh
