I remember her running the Green Stamps store over Stop and Shop and also hung out with her niece Sue. She was a very nice lady in every sense of the word.

WOW, my condolences to the family! I feel that you are family because Melba and my mom and us have a big circle. Melba was my boss at Alderson's for 2.5 years but before that my mom and her were in BPW together and when we first moved to Woodland in 1965 she heard that we went to the Bay Area every Sunday and we would take her to the VA hosp.to visit her husband at least once a month or more and then pick her up in the evening and home. In the last number of years when I would go to Relay for Life I would hear her name and try to find her and she had already just left. So...I didn't get to say goodbye. I hope she was fine in these last years and she went peacefully. She was definitely a wonderful tough woman in my eyes! And now I realize that mom and her were the same age. How wonderful you got to have her this long.
