Sincere condolences to the Gilchrist family and friends. I did not know Ms. Gilchrist, but from the memories shared by family and friends it's obvious that she was very special and loved by many. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure in your heart and it lives forever. May the wonderful treasures fill your hearts with love and bring you peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time (Hosea 13:14).

Lawanda D. (Georgia)

I will always love Mother Gilchrist. I owe my life to the Lord Jesus and her for all the many blessings I have received. In 1958 in Rosamond California I was 6 months and dying of dysentery. My parents needed gas to get me to a doctor. They ask Mother Gilchrist for money. She didn't have it but went and found a farmer plowing a field on a tractor. She explained the situation and received enough money for gas to get me to a doctor. After a three month stay in the hospital I returned home. She would always laugh so hard when telling me the story. When I was about 5 years old she taught to sing a song about Jesus allied. "Deep and Wide, He's a fountain of glory deep and wide". By gods grace, the blood of Jesus, and Sister Gilchrist and her prayers I was baptized with the precious Holy Ghost in 1978. She rejoiced with about that when I last saw her. I will miss her, but I absolutely certain she is wearing a robe and a crown!! She fought a good fight, finished her course, and kept the faith!!Throughout the remainder of my life she was always somewhere letting her light so shine for Jesus. I'm 60 years old now and am a witness and recipient of her love, dedication, and faithfullness to the Lord and his children. I know she is with her savior and always will be. I truly hope I can be one of those jewels in her crown. Every jewel in her crown represents a soul she helped usher into Gods kingdom and I'm a witness that there are many.My prayer is that some day we will meet again in gods kingdom and forever be together as the Lord intended. Her last words to me when I visited her two weeks from Christmas 2016 was. " If I don't see you again before I go, I'll see you over there!" Oh Lord, please let it be!!!
