Mr. Musial, Thanks your for all the great memories, you gave to the city of St. Louis, hundreds of miles in any direction, and all the rest!

I applaud you as a great baseball player, but, I admit your time off the field shines even more in my heart. I always heard you were Catholic, and, visited the sick in the hospital like "Cardinal Glennon Hospital for Children" on Grand.

You are reunited with many, many friends and fans in heaven. but, most of all your Lil. Thanks you to all your family, for so willingly sharing you, with us, all these years.

Thank you Stan, for showing us all that there is so much more to being a sports hero than just putting up the numbers and stats... I'll NEVER forget the several times I was fortunate enough to meet him...(and will cherish my autographed picture "to Bill" from him... STAN MADE the Cardinals Nation what it is!!!

As a young boy, my parents took me to an open house at the Concordia Turners in south Saint Louis. I was roaming around the facility and when I looked up, there was Stan Musial with harmonica in hand and a big smile on his face. He said hello to me. I've always remembered that simple encounter.
