Collette was an intelligent, kind woman who lived life well. I met her through my work at the Freeman, where she promoted concerts at Old Dutch Church. She was a joy to know. My condolences to her family.

I'll always remember when you took over for me and subbed when I got married in 1988. I had just gotten my teaching job at George Washington School in Kingston. It was a very difficult class, and you were so kind. You wrote me a beautiful letter about sticking with it. Now I'm in my 28th year teaching in Kingston. Thank you , Collette! I know how much you loved to sing and I'm sure you are singing with that deep voice of yours with the other angels in heaven. I'll see you soon. All my love, Krissy Benes Brown

I will miss her great dinners! After over 50 years her "chicken continental" dinner is still talked about in our family as a fabulous childhood memory! Thank you! The Sonnenberg house was the place to be, games, music, and fun! Thanks Marc and Craig! Love from the O'Connell's!
