I didn't know Suzy personally, but rather, through the lovely impression my father had of her in her role at Rainbows. My dad was a vice president at a company called DeSoto Inc. for many years. Suzy made such an impression on him after coming to meet with him about Rainbows and he shared those perceptions of her and her mission with me as I am a teacher. I am saddened to see that she has passed. (My dad passed in 2011, or he'd be writing or visiting himself, I'm sure.) Isn't it amazing, and such a comfort to know, what a far reaching impact she had? She lives on through all her compassion, tenacity, and genuine commitment. I'm so sorry for you loss.
