ARLINGTON HEIGHTS - Robert J. Hacker, 71, of New Paltz, NY, passed away on Tuesday December 3, 2013 at Health Alliance Hospital Broadway Campus, Kingston, NY. He was born in Arlington Heights, IL January 29, 1942 a son of the late Fred and Alice Hacker. He had resided in Arlington Heights until relocating to NY in 1986. Robert was a retired employee of IBM in Kingston, NY He was a US Air Force veteran. His passion was golf and computers. Surviving are his beloved wife of 48 years Patricia Hacker, his dear children, Erik, of Des Plaines, IL, Michael (Cheryl) of Rexford, NY, David (Andrea) of Scotia, NY, and Suzanne Duffy (Brian) of Las Vegas, NV., a sister Melanie Hacker, 2 brothers, Andrew (Mary), and Martin Hacker. Devoted grandfather of John, Matt, Ryan, David, Elizabeth, Erin, Alex and Matthew. Friends may call Friday 4 to 8 PM at the George J. Moylan Funeral Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale, NY. Rev. Arlene Dawber will conduct funeral services at 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, donations.diabetes.org/.
