I just discovered that Vanessa passed away this very moment Googling her name to get her office number for a refferal. I had lost her card. I am a police Detective and have known Vanessa for many years at the Rolling Meadows court house. She would often represent clients that I had arrested. She and I became good aquaintances and would have lengthy discussions at the court house. She wanted me to call her for a job when I retired. She and I would have conversations in Spanish and developed a mutual respect for each other professionaly and personally. I would often reffer clients to her that I came by in the latino community that I or my department were not involved in prosecuting. She was a very sweet and kind person and I admired her immensely. I will miss her very much.

I was not aware of this Guest book until Jorge mentioned it on FB. I always admired and loved my cousin Vanessa. Sadly had not returned to Chicago since 1964 and was unable to see her on a short trip in 2010 but memories of her in her Flamenco dress and so many other wonderful moments when we were children in Colombia will live on forever my heart.
