Yvonne Habib Yvonne Habib passed away in her sleep in the early morning of Oct. 2, 2012, resting comfortably at home under hospice care and the care of her devoted husband, Nazir. There will be a memorial service for family on Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street, Barrington, IL 60010. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made in her memory to Summit Preparatory School, 1605 Danielson Road, Kalispell, MT 59901 (SummitPrepSchpool.org) or Lydia Home Association, 4300 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago, IL 60641 (LydiaHome.org). Yvonne George Habib Ibrahim was born on July 1, 1928, in Alexandria, Egypt, to George Baghos and Natalia Lattof Baghos, who had four other children: Mary, Fred, Edward and Alfred, She graduated from the American Mission College in Alexandria, Egypt, and had a long career as a certified nurse aide. She married Nazir Habib Ibrahim in 1958, and had two sons, Farid (Alexander) and Habib (Warren). In 1972, the family emigrated to the Chicago area to join their extended family and immediately became United States citizens, where they remained to the present. Yvonne had wonderful sense of humor and fun, with a passion for cooking, needlepoint, swimming, and her family. Yvonne passed away on Oct. 2, in Barrington, IL. and is survived by her husband of 54 years, Nazir; her two sons, Alex and Warren and their spouses, Mark and Lindsay; her six grandchildren, Alexandria, Blake, Lani, Jacob, Lea and Kai; and her sister, Mary and brother, Alfred.
