I was at Teacher`s College with Des and remember him well.I saw him briefly at a reunion too. I remember his humour when he was on the social committee and when we had to think of entertainment suggested I do the dance of the `seven army blankets ` !!
So sorry to hear of his passing.

Des left a large imprint on all our hearts. He was a magnanimous man &unique Principal who injected each day with his own bush humour &lingo, which kept the whole school smiling! Des often acclaimed his dear wife Claudia as being the backbone of his outback School success asCostume designer for all Concerts..&much more, with Leonie's help! Love & condolences toClaudia,Leonie & wonderful family.

Des and Claudia were the first people we met when we came to Dubbo in 1977 . We were in the Dubbo Caravan Park. Des was always so welcoming , interested in all you had been up to since you last met. Des will be sadly missed as he was loved by so many people. Rest In Peace lovely man. Jenny and Graham Brown
