I met Edith and Bob 26 years ago. She taught piano to all six of our children. Half of them have gone on to become worship leaders in church, and one of them is a full-time teacher. The love of music and her teaching style allowed our kids to pick up other instruments, as well. Going to her house almost weekly for over 23 years allowed me the opportunity to get to know and dearly love Edith. Her love and passion for passing the gift of music along to future generations was not just a hobby... it was a calling and a ministry, and she excelled at it! Her loving heart, gentle teaching style, and sweet spirit endeared everyone to her. Her passing leaves a hole in our hearts. I don't expect that I will ever meet anyone like Edith again. She was truly one of a kind and will forever be loved and remembered. While we grieve with selfish tears for our loss, I look forward to the day when I'll see her again in heaven. I'm pretty sure I'll find her near a piano or an organ!! Prayers and our deepest sympathies remain with the Ritter family.
