Jean will be remembered for her gracious manner, her heart of service, her devotion to family, friends, and community, her many professional accomplishments, and so much more. She loved living, and made the most of every opportunity life handed her. Jean was a person who, in every single situation, would always do the most intelligent thing. She was a wonder, and will be missed beyond measure.

My deepest sympathy to the Jean Oakes family, My name is John Jackson, Jean Oakes was the first vice president I reported to at the start of my healthcare career. I've always taken great pride in her example, advice, personal pride she placed on good leadership and positive attitude. I've often remembered her over the years as a positive influence in my personal and working career. She will always be remembered as a bright shining light in the Jackson family. May God bless, you will be missed.

Jean was a "star" at the Sanderson Museum as she appeared in the Karen Kuder documentary
"Canonballs, Anecdotes & Artifacts - The wonderful life of Christian Sanderson", featuring Andrew Wyeth, Karl J. Kuerner, and Ann Wyeth McCoy. Her stories are seen by hundreds of visitors every year and will ve for many, many years to come.
On a personal note, my husband and I knew her through St. Agnes church. She was the epitomy of a classy lady and her many contributions will be missed
