Betty Lou Thompson, 56, of Christiana, passed away on Sunday, November 5th, 2017 at Brandywine Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Raymond A. Thompson, with whom she shared 12 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, Betty Lou was the daughter of Dorothy (Hall) and Donald W. Swift. She was a 1979 graduate of Octorara High School. She worked for Dopaco - Pactiv in Downingtown for 17 years. She was a member of the Eastern Lancaster Co. Rod & Gun Club and the Christiana American Legion Lady’s Auxiliary. She is survived, in addition to her husband, by her two children: Matthew Swift, husband of Debbie, of Christiana, and Zachariah Lepore of Christiana; two granddaughters, Alexis and Sarah; and her brother, Donald Swift of Christiana. She was predeceased by her son, Zachary A. Thompson and her brother, Bob Swift. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 13th at 11 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in Atglen Methodist Cemetery. The viewing will be at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 PM, and again on Monday morning from 10 until 11 AM. Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com

I didn't know Betty that long, we met while getting chemo. As soon as I met her I knew she was a special person. I will miss you Betty. It seems like we knew each other for a long time. You can rest in peace now. Resting in Jesus arms.
