Sharon,

I was truly sadden to hear about Burton. The two of you bring back so many fond memories. Burton used to work out with me when I was playing baseball in Pony and Colt league. I was a center fielder and he would hit balls to me for hours; always saying that all fly balls can be caught. I was a center fielder and he felt that I could catch a ball even if it was hit to left or right field. He as a real slave driver but I was all the better for it!!

I remember meeting you when I visited MSU to meet with the track coach about a scholarship. I was so impressed. I thought, if she is typical of the females at MSU, I was in for a fun ride. I did find a southern beauty, Helen Middleton.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Thomas Jefferson (formally of Maywood, IL; now residing to Tallahassee, FL)
