Dear Barbara and family,

I'm praying for friends to comfort you, faith to uphold you and loving memories to help you smile again.

My walking dreams often brings me in the empty auditoriums left dusty since decades, then I stroll behind the velvet curtain to look on backstage area. Sometime there's an unknow or a celeb standing there, a real old man, holding a guitar. If the guy like we talk about the old days and try together to put all the various pieces of the puzzle of its life and time. If he rather like to stay silent, being tired by years, it doesn't not matter 'cause I still had in head the last chord of the song he was singing all alone before I come in.
Claude was one of these precious friends who loaned me the auditorium's key and helped me to make that world a better place with my ballpen. Music is a gift of God and a strong weapon for love!

I was sorry to hear of Claude King's
recent passing and I send my prayers
& love to all his family members for
their great loss.
Hes probably already playing his music
and has everyone smiling just as he did
for everyone of us left behind.
May God protect & watch over his family
members as Claude would want that for sure. God bless them all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the King family.
From the beautiful music I first heard in Cedar Grove in the early 60's to the songs still being played, only now we hear them straight from Heaven. We were all so blessed.

Barbara, Jay, Brad and Duane, I am so sorry to hear of Claude's passing. He was such a kind, humble man and very much a father figure to my ex-husband David. I always smile when I hear Wolverton Mountain on the radio and picture Claude and the Nashville Knights performing it in my mind. That was so long ago, but seems like yesterday. May God wrap his arms around you during this difficult time and give you comfort.

It was sad to hear Mr. Claude King passed away. He was a great singer that will surely be missed. Now he is singing up in heaven. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and his music family. RIP Mr. Claude King.

I WAS GOOD FRIENDS WITH HANK,MIDGE AND DIRK HANKEY, NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS OF CLAUDE ON GREEN TERRACE IN SHREVEPORT.MY MOM HAD MET MIDGE IN THE NAVY AND THE HANKEYS INVITED US TO SPEND WEEKENDS AT THE POOL AND BAR OUT BACK.THEY ARE ALL DECEASED NOW.I REMEMBER DIRK TELLING ME ABOUT THE BIG TOUR BUS AND THAT IT BELONGED TO A COUNTRY MUSIC STAR NEXT DOOR.I ONLY TALKED WITH CLAUDE A FEW TIMES BUT WHAT I REMEMBER IS A VERY POLITE HUMAN BEING.I DID HEAR HIM PLAY A FEW TUNES AND HE WAS VERY TALENTED WITH A TRUE DOWN HOME COUNTRY VOICE. .RIP IN HONKY TONK HEAVEN!
