I first met Dr. Denmark in 1971 when my family and I moved from Boston to Atlanta. I was a pediatric cardiologist at Egleston Childrens' Hospital. I remember her as a no nonsense but exremely kind person. When ever I lectured or spoke at Grand Rounds she would invariably come up afterwards and say how much she had enjoyed what I had said and how much she had learned. That meant a great deal to me and I've never forgotten that kindness. She was a remarkable person and physician.

I am so thankful that Dr. Denmark was a part of my life. My mother started taking me to her when I was a baby when we would visit my grandmother in Marietta. Dr. Denmark was a very caring, but a no nonsense person. She expected parents to follow her directions to the tee. I will never forget her kindness. She was truly a saint!

I am thankful to Dr. Denmark for saving my life as an infant. She revived me when I became quite ill and unable to breathe. She was a very generous person giving her time weekly to help poor children at the free Baby Clinic at Central Presbyterian Church. She was a remarkable women who touched so many lives.

Dr. Denmark was my pediatrician, my mothers, and my grandmothers. I had always dreamed about taking my children to see her to add a 4th generation, but she will be involved in their raising in spirit (when I have them eventually). I have fond memories of playing in the garden behind the office if I had been good during the check-up. One of the things that has always stuck with me is how such a tiny lady had such a grip of steel! You were GOING to get your throat swabbed, whether you wanted to or not!

As a first grader in 1953 I was a sickly child. Allergies and bouts of asthma caused me to miss school regularly. My parents finally took me to Dr. Denmark who diagnosed my milk allergy, got me on a healthful diet with lots of outdoor exercise and fresh vegetables. Asthma attacks went away and allergies became rare and mild. My parents and I always credited her diagnostic acumen with turning my health around. I am now 65 and have been blessed with excellent health since then. Dr. Denmark was always regarded with great respect and gratitude in my family.
